UMAC was formed in 2017 as a non-profit federal organization, to connect and unite the Mandingo people in Canada.
We are a collective of people who believe in Humanity, love and peace for all human beings, regardless the colour of your skin, or geographical location. We take proud in respect, gratitude, and pay homage to both old and young who exercise nobility in our communities.
The Mandingo people originated in the Mande heartland in the present-day country of Mali West Africa. Mandingo, Mandinka or Malinke people are the first largest ethnic group in Africa and are the descendants of the inhabitants of the Mali empire that spanned Western Africa south of the SAHARA desert.
